Ryan Cadd
Associate, Architect | Specifier | Building Envelope Consultant
Ryan joined DTR in 2019, bringing with him an enthusiasm for architecture that is evident (shines through) in every project he is a part of. A respected peer within the industry, his diligence and design-forward propensity make him an asset to DTR, our in-house team (his colleagues), and, most importantly, our clients. As a licensed Architect, Ryan runs the production and coordination of building envelope designs and the development of remedial architectural construction documents. His discerning eye ensures that DTR projects are executed with meticulous attention to detail and held to the highest standards. Ryan is a positive voice on the team who humbly shares the knowledge he has acquired during his tenure, acting as a mentor and promoting the growth of others at DTR. As an Associate, he will continue leading his colleagues toward sustainable and efficient project design objectives while bolstering his own skillset as a project manager.
Nathan Taylor
Associate, Building Envelope Consultant
Joining DTR in 2019, Nathan brought his international background in building design, technical architecture, and building envelope/waterproofing to the team. He conducts forensic investigations with genuine enthusiasm and his love for the field is evident. Nathan draws upon his technical abilities and his aesthetic sense to generate creative and comprehensive solutions for our clients. He leads his colleagues in keeping up-to-date with the latest industry standards and trends to ensure that our clients receive the most cutting-edge solutions. As an Associate, Nathan will be responsible for providing expert guidance and recommendations on all aspects of building envelope design and construction including assessing building envelopes for energy efficiency, water management, and structural integrity, as well as providing recommendations for repairs and upgrades. Nathan will cultivate his skills as a leader and continue to advance the building envelope branch of DTR.
Jim Syme
Senior Associate, Senior Building Envelope Architect | Project Manager
Jim has been an integral part of DTR’s building envelope consulting team since 2018, leading the design and management of several high-profile projects. His skill set aligns with DTR’s philosophy, placing importance on sustainable architecture and design that will positively impact the surrounding community. Jim shares his exceptional technical expertise and innate project management skills with the team at DTR, creating a positive environment where others are guided to succeed. He has a deep understanding of building science and applies this knowledge to ensure that our projects meet the highest standards of performance and sustainability. As a Senior Associate, Jim will continue to lead the design and management of complex building envelope projects. He will also take on a greater leadership role within the team, mentoring and guiding junior staff and actively contributing to the development of DTR. Jim will continue driving innovation in building envelope design and will be a key resource for clients and consultants.
